The Role

We have an exciting career opportunity for a Manager, Federal Sales to join our growing DSI Tech team! As the Manager, Federal Sales you will be a dynamic contributor to the sales team for one of the most successful, technology solutions providers in the nation. This role is remote / hybrid.

The Manager, Federal Sales will be responsible for developing and increasing the federal market segment. The successful candidate will manage, lead, and mentor a team of Sales Representatives.

Your Responsibilities   
  • Responsible for managing, leading, mentoring and training for DSI Tech’s Federal Sales team.
  • Will travel with Federal Outside Sales Executive for pre-sales activities as well as closed post sales duties.
  • Will sell Cisco and other OEM vendors (Microsoft, HPE, VMWare, Palo Alto, Creston, Extron, NetApp and others) and solutions to federal offices and agencies.
  • Will provide current and new clients with product information, quote prices, credit terms and rates in a timely manner.                                                                                                                
  • Provide excellent customer service to prospective and existing customers on a daily basis
  • Estimates date of delivery to customers, based on knowledge of company's availability and delivery schedules.
  • Will manage multiple purchase orders at a time and will update & perform data entry of such purchase orders in our Sales communication software tool.
  • Establishes and maintains customer relationships through courteous and efficient servicing of customer requests.
  • Interfaces with customers and warehouse departments, service departments and manufacturers technical support.
  • Attend on-going training, seminars, courses, etc. as required for developing and maintaining up-to-date technical skills and product knowledge

What You Need for this Role
  • BS degree in Business Administration or relevant field is required
  • 3+ years of experience in a sale supervisory or management role in the federal information technology industry.
  • 5+ years of IT product sales and solution-based selling in federal VAR space.
  • Prior experience selling under NASA SEWP, ESCIII, Air Force NETCENTS, GSA, and other GWAC federal contracts
  • In-depth understanding of the sales administration process
  • Hand on experience with CRM software and MS Excel
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Government procurement processes and trends
  • Ability to understand and interpret the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
  • Excellent writing, communication, and customer service skills
